A World Without HIS Cross – WHAT IF?

Some unbelievers like to say if He was God why did He suffer so much pain, disgrace, and shame. He, as you say; can do all things why didn’t He just blink His eyes and open heaven’s gates.

Why not just Will it; the very fact of His Will purchased us?

It is a fact that the above could have happened in just that way, for God can do all things, and knows all things.

Try to imagine the world without the Cross. Ask yourself, what if there were no Cross?

We would have no Lent, no Resurrection and definitely no appreciation. No crucifix hanging on our walls, no rosary to pray no tears indeed to shed. A world without Christian devotions, without His Passion depicted in Christian Art.

There would be no need for the priesthood since there would be no reason for the holy sacrifice of the Mass nor the Blessed Sacrament upon our altars. Nothing to celebrate except to celebrate as in presumption. Without the cross, our religion leads one to Presumption, glory without merit, salvation without keeping the Commandments, or expectation of pardon for sin without repentance. A presumption is what man-made “Christians” should fear; they glory in the Resurrection; hide from the crucifixion, remember too there were only three at the foot of the Cross when He died.

“O wicked presumption, whence camest thou to cover the earth with thy malice, and deceitfulness?”
[Ecclesiasticus 37:3]

Addition of a Tanka Challenge

No Cross no Passion
What if God just waved us in?
God can do all things
Just a simple come on in
Wonder would we follow Him?
