My First Attempt #Butterfly Cinquain

Thank you, Colleen Chesebro, on getting me hooked on the different types of poetry.

But first Tra La ♫ … A quote from the Bible about books, one book you will want your name entered into, no doubt about it!

“There shall not enter into it any thing defiled, or that worketh abomination or maketh a lie, but they that are written in the book of life of the Lamb.”
[Apocalypse (Revelation) 21:27]

“And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from these things that are written in this book.”
[Apocalypse (Revelation) 22:19]

BUTTERFLY CINQUAIN BELOW
syllable count 2-4-6-8-2-8-6-4-2
Some poets center the lines to create a butterfly shape as I did here.

  1. Well done. I love the butterfly shape of your words. Visually stunning. Isn’t it fun to play with the alliteration of the word syllables? Keep having fun writing poetry. That is what keeps us sane. ❤
