Before God created — only obsidian
Although God needed nothing and so nothing was
The Three perfectly happy; their alpine, their all.
Rich soil, snow angels totally they created!
All-knowing, God, absolutely spoke: “I predict!”
A jaded panther appears, red flag certainly!
Before God created — only obsidian

His Masterpiece

DressedInBlue

Looking down into the Grand Canyon is scary indeed!
Looking up into the Niagara Falls, the Power of God!
I see His aura surrounding Him among His creations;
Totality gathers around His masterpiece, His mother!
Created especially for her role.
I think of her as my wishing well
With an antique rose in her hair
Upon it, a tiny dewdrop.
Without her, only a foggy harbor.

The Talking Tree — Speaking to Thee

A Flash-Fiction inspiration:

The prompt image and perception remind us of the present and past. The trunk of the tree represents the NOW; the top represents the past. Nature is finding a voice to explain as time goes by, things seem to thin out, situations are no longer excessive as when looking directly at them, seeing them from a distance they become surrounded; strangled/tangled with different happenings in our past life.
Is the top of the tree the beginning of life or the end? That may depend on how we look at it. Do we still have a purpose, or have we fulfilled it? Do we have regrets or content?

One day while strolling in the park and passing this tree so many times, I saw it for the first time. I wanted to climb it, so I did. When I reached the very top, after being scratched from head to toe with snarly branches and prickly bits, I looked down below from where I started. Everything below seemed so real beckoning me to hurry back. Suddenly I began to fall, down, down; I tried to grab on to the past, but could not. The force of gravity was in full force, seeing the ground getting closer and closer, shut my eyes; waited for the slam. Got up and shook off the remnants of my past, what a Wake-Up! I got up, examined my life, and vowed from that day on to find my purpose in life and fulfill it, starting with obeying the Ten Commandments of God.

Seek to Find— Opened TODAY

Limbo

Upon waking this Holy Saturday, I began to meditate on what was going on this day with Our Lord Jesus Christ—knowing that the Blessed Sacrament was no longer present in the Church Tabernacle. By this action, it represented Jesus was in the tomb. The Creed we say indicates that Jesus “suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell!” Hell, in this sense, a place where the Beatific Vision was absent, a waiting place for those who awaited the gates of Heaven to open, that they will march with Jesus Christ through those gates with Jesus leading them.

Think: How happy they must have been, finally, Jesus fulfilled the reason for His becoming our God-Man; to die that God the Father agreed to be appeased by the Sacrifice of His Son, the Second Person of the Trinity.
“It is finished.”

Yes, the souls Jesus left behind, some in doubt, others His enemies were proud of their deed, others still confused and afraid. However, the souls in Limbo were joyful and filled to the brim with happiness.

Today we know the end of the story, we too should see this day as joyful, since the gates of Heaven are NOW opened for all. All who desire to spend their eternity with God, all who keep His Commandments and all who seek His One, Holy, Apostolic, Catholic Church founded by Jesus or have a desire to find it. Seek, and you shall find!

First Line Friday — Destination Unknown

Post Short Fiction inspired by Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie, First Line Friday!

The station reminded her of some great creature, its constant machine whir breathing around her as she worked herself through the crowded people all around her. This was the first time she visited the train station. Where was everyone going, she wondered? So many people in one place were going this way and that way. The noise from the trains was indeed an enormous creature, its constant machine; the engine was huffing and puffing.

This building is the local train station, and FINALLY I am one of those anxious people strolling around looking for my place to board one of those noisy, enormous machines trusting it to bring me to my destination.

My adventure about to begin, I can only hope I will find the happiness and peace of soul when I reach the end of my journey.

Paint Chip Poetry … challenge

Radiant

A long time ago; Easter morning, imagine the First
How bright IN YOUR EYES was that joyful SUNBURST
Jesus Christ rising from what many believed dead
Guards dropped their weapons of IRON and fled
That giant stone melted as if a SANDCASTLE
The Divine Power of God winning the battle!

Remembering a time; Easter morning!

The year Twenty Twenty remember well

The year Twenty Twenty remember well
Many believed we were living in hell!

We stayed apart secluded day and night
Others seemed happy and began to write.

Some started composing little poems
Enjoying spending so much time at home.

Decisions were made — let us kneel and pray
While others continued longing to play!

Something new to a spoiled generation
Is this only now our planned vacation?

Sadly the parents soon became teachers
What will we do with these tiny creatures?

Politicians fret about this and that
Clung to agendas while ignoring facts.

When the danger decides to stop and quit
Will the world seek — find another conflict?

Thereby God will again say — “You’re Grounded!”

AGAIN!
