IT’S TRADITION!

https://tchistorygal.net/2020/12/23/wqwwc-4-celebration/

I always have noticed the power of God in that even the unbelievers celebrate Christmas!

Wherefore you shall also count this day among other festival days, and celebrate it with all joy, that it may be known also in times to come,” Esther 16:22

Wednesday Challenge

A Tangle that is FUN!

I love to create art, any kind, I will at least try it once, and the Weekend Challenge from partner GC and me is Art..

Today I will show a piece of art that anyone can do, it’s called Zentangle, a glorified form of doodling. Here is one of my zentangle drawings — I did put this on Pixabay awhile ago, so it is possible you might have seen it on the internet. Pixabay as you know is a place on the internet you offer your own art for free. None of my art will ever be copyrighted, since I enjoy sharing. However after posting the above I also upload my art on several sites that offer it for sale; artists are compensated a small commission. Always fun when something sells.

Try it you can begin by just drawing or trace a circle from a dish in your kitchen.

Strange Coincidence calls for a Cinquain

“Holiday Traditions” Theme/Prompt

After Christmas, one traditional custom awaits the Feast of the Three Kings, always on Jan. 6. The Wise men who brought gifts for the Christ Child, Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh. This Feast Day is called The Epiphany.

This year, on Jan. 6 Congress counts the electoral votes Congress meets in joint session to count the electoral votes. As President of the Senate, the vice president presides over the count and announces the results of the Electoral College vote.

My Cinquain below represents this strange coincidence.

Weekly Smile

The Beauty of Snow

Soon I will be 81 years old, and true I may not be that funny or athletic or good-looking or smart or talented. I forgot where I was going with this post. I am not complaining; after all, I love being 80. I learn something new every day and forget five other things.
Oh! Now I remember what it was I wanted to write.

I wanted to share a smile!

Did someone say snow?

The Beginning of an End

Beginnings and endings, a prompt, and today during my quiet time, early in the morning, an inspiration. I came to realize all mysteries have a common denominator. I am speaking of praying the rosary. But first, my first attempt at a Golden Shovel form combined with Tanka form.

The poem selected author and title: The Rosary.

by Robert Cameron Rogers  —>  https://search.yahoo.com/search?fr=mcafee&type=E211US1079G91398&p=Robert+Cameron+Rogers  also, you can read his poem by scrolling down to the bottom of this post.

My Golden Shovel poem is composed also in Tanka form; the bolded words are from my selected poem (seen at bottom of this post) My Poem Titled “Beginning to End”

Bless this sacred string

Holy rosary of pearls

Held by links to count

The pictures of memories

Is but a prayer to learn

An exciting point of inspiration; while meditating on each group of mysteries, a common theme is hidden. Take the example of our prompt at dVerse is of beginnings and endings.

Ponder the last five decades of fifteen Mysteries of the original rosary blessed Mother gave St Dominic. There we see the number three along with endings and beginnings

The Finding of the Child Jesus being lost three days also representing the ending of His childhood: beginning His adult life and purpose, “And He said to them: How is it that you sought me? did you not know that I must be about my Father’s business?” Luke 2:49

The Crucifixion of Jesus, His words, “It is finished” an ending!  It was the beginning of opening the gates of Heaven. On the third day, He will rise again.

Next, we meditate on The Coronation of Mary. Her entrance into Heaven ended her earthly life but began her reign as the Holy Trinity crowns her Queen.  Three, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

“And there are three who give testimony in Heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost. And these three are one.” 1 John 5:7

“And there are three that give testimony on earth: the spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three are one.” 1 John 5:8

The Rosary — by Robert Cameron Rogers — published   https://tinyurl.com/ycplsl2b

The hours I spent with thee, dear heart,

Are as a string of pearls to me;

I count them over, every one apart,

My rosary

Each hour a pearl, each pearl a prayer

To still a heart in absence wrung;

I tell each bead unto the end — and there

A cross is hung.

Oh, memories that bless — and burn!

Oh, barren gain — and bitter loss!

I kiss each bead, and strive at last to learn

To kiss the cross,

Sweetheart,

To kiss the cross.

Weekend Writing Prompt

The HAPPINESS POST

Have you ever had an angel encounter; I have! But SURPRISE, that is not what this blog post is about.

It is about being HAPPY; I am a very happy old lady, going downhill and happy about that, thinking this may be my last Christmas. (or maybe not) lived a happy childhood, a happy marriage, and I know why I was born in the first place. Made a lot of mistakes, more than I can count — told God I was sorry. That was a peaceful, happy feeling!

The best part of this blog is below, please continue to read.

A few days ago, I found this video about an angel story, it’s not very long, under 10 minutes, but the really happy part is the story, yes—but reading the comments. Since watching this video, I have gone back just to finish reading the comments because they wrought so much happiness within my soul.
Not only will you feel beyond happy just knowing, but you will also thrive in hope too!

My Behavior LATELY

Stream Of Consciousnesses Saturday IS TODAY!

My very mini post today is my strange behavior lately!

Like all of you I like to make my bed sooner than later when I awake however; lately my cat thinks she is the queen; jumps on my bed thereby taking her long morning nap.

My strange behavior is, I can’t make my bed until she awakes.

Strange Behavior is it the cat or me!

The Time for Talking with the Left is Long, Long Past

The Time for Talking with the Left is Long, Long Past ...

Source: Selwyn Duke

“People who cannot be reasoned with can only be fought.” It’s an age-old truth, one good people ignore at their own peril. It too often is ignored, though, since good people are mostly reasonable and, in accordance with man’s nature, engage in projection. They thus assume that others are as reasonable as they are.

It’s reasonable to assume that mentioning right now the futility of reasoning with the Left is motivated by the election. It’s also, in my case, untrue. I’ve for decades recognized that devout leftists, emotion-driven and vice-ridden, operate by occultist Aleister Crowley’s “principle,” “Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.” But now, with the Left stealing an election after have stolen our whole culture and increasingly achieving its ends through violence, more people may accept this message.

When presenting logical arguments to advance a position, which is what I as…

SILVER or GOLD?

I am reblogging this from my post a while ago because it is my way of
participating in a challenge of today called Truthful Tues at https://pcguyiv.wordpress.com/2020/12/08/truthful-tuesday-december-8th-2020 about GIFT GIVING. Most reading here won’t appreciate my reblog but some might, but here goes anyway!

I Believe, BECAUSE -

All I want for Christmas is …
We hear a lot of that about this time of the year, “What are you hoping to get from Santa? What do you want? I hope I get this or maybe that!”
Instead of thinking about what we want, let’s consider what we need. “Want” as defined as a desire for something; “Need” as defined as requirement, essential, necessity. There is a difference in the meaning. The things we want today, are usually tossed in the corner tomorrow, but the things we need will be appreciated sooner or later.
One valuable Christmas suggestion would be GOLD!
I remember learning in school that a Mass offered for your loved one after death is like giving them SILVER, but a Mass provided while they are living is like giving them GOLD. It is worth so much more than just gold if we only knew.

And It’s FREE — try this challenge

dVerse has a challenge to write a Prosery. FIRST The rules: PROSERY IS a piece of short prose that includes a line from a poem. dVerse gives the line, and then we incorporate it into our prose piece. Prose can be either flash fiction, nonfiction, or creative nonfiction. YOU CAN NOT WRITE A POEM for this prompt. AND, your prose should be no longer than 144 words, sans title. The line to incorporate into the prosery is “Reading what I have just written, I now believe”

My Creative Writing and Advice to all; it works for me.

***************

One day upon waking one beautiful morning with coffee in hand, I began to talk to God; sitting down to start my day, I imagined He was there too, enjoying His coffee.

I began asking Him to look at all the desires within my heart; whatever He sees there that displeases Him to “yank” it out and toss it far away.

I even imagined Him doing just that!

I continued with a plea to Him; please replace it with a beautiful flower, a flower of grace that would grow larger and larger each day. Reading what I have just written, I now believe!  Since that day, I have made it a daily habit.

Why not when I believe it. While enjoying a helping hand in managing the garden deep within my soul with flowers, He planted there. Better than seeing a therapist, and it’s free!

The Christmas Angel—flash-fiction challenge

The children were excited; tomorrow was Christmas!
The tradition, to catch their Christmas angel.

Imagine now the little ones jumping up and down, rolling all around, trying to catch their angel.
The tiniest of all jumped so high while clasping his hand and shouted, “I caught mine!”

Holding his hands together with a big smile, being careful not to let the angel escape.

Minutes passed by, and as he watched the other children leaping with joy, his big brown eyes widened; looking at his hand, still holding tight, he turned to his grandmother, “please, do you have a cage?”

God said, “Let there be light.”

“Give light, and the darkness will disappear of itself.”
by Desiderius Erasmus

“Let their way become dark and slippery, and let the angel of the Lord pursue them.” Psalms 34:6

God said, “Let there be light.”
Did He create dark as well, or
was darkness always there?
I wonder. Dark the absence of light!
