“Holiday Traditions” Theme/Prompt
After Christmas, one traditional custom awaits the Feast of the Three Kings, always on Jan. 6. The Wise men who brought gifts for the Christ Child, Gold, Frankincense, and Myrrh. This Feast Day is called The Epiphany.
This year, on Jan. 6 Congress counts the electoral votes Congress meets in joint session to count the electoral votes. As President of the Senate, the vice president presides over the count and announces the results of the Electoral College vote.
My Cinquain below represents this strange coincidence.

As someone pointed out recently, “epiphany” means a manifestation of God’s power. We can hope so!

This vote is merely a formality. There is no ruling. The people voted and Biden won the election. Just think how trump would have felt if Hillary Clinton and the Dems had pushed a false narrative that she had won instead of him. Please don’t engage in seditious thoughts. That would indeed be a sin. I asked for Christmas traditions. We don’t need any more politics.

Your so right I am sick of politics! Yet, I still have hope for Trump. Hope is a wonderful emotion, don’t you agree?
The Epiphany is a Christmas Tradition and in the Catholic Faith, it is also a Holy Day.
