Adam and Eve — Not quite!

A Short story you may have heard a similar version in the past!

Fantango gives us a tease of words to use, this week I placed it into my FSS below in bold letters.

My story begins –

***********

Excitedly Arron and Evie were anxious to explore their new property, remembering the warning words of their father. "Whatever, don't go near the well; the brick masons are coming tomorrow to fix those loose bricks surrounding Gracie our well. Gracie blesses us with saving water, but as you can see, it is easy to fall into the well until those bricks are set."

Hmmm! Evie thought! She was daring alright and got a little too close while Arron tried to pull her away! The worse did happen! They both tripped and fell into the deep well. Down, down with the speed of lightning!

It seemed like hands were reaching out to them as they moved faster but never hitting bottom; they zoomed down lower and lower. Then suddenly, they felt on their backside something firm as if they were now riding not down but up! Higher and higher was their awareness.
Shooting up and right out of a rabbit hole. The children knew it was a rabbit's hole because of all the rabbit skins hanging all around them.
Arron said, "I heard of falling through the rabbit hole but never rising up and out from one." He laughed!

"Brrr! It's cold here wherever we are. I am freezing." Said, Evie
"Here, let's wrap up in one of these rabbit skins," said Arron, and so they did clothe themselves.
"What happened to us?"
"We fell from Grace!" Said Arron, "I don't think you sufficiently appreciated Our Father's warning."

Short Story only 99-words

The 99-word story above was inspired by a picture prompt; click here to see the image that inspired my story.

"Hum ho hum another day!" Waking one Sunday, Rosabella Smith was getting up to attend Church. She looked into the mirror and thought, Rosabella Smith, you are getting old, but you do look good today.

Inspecting her collection of clothes, she dressed thinking, that was easy, no pain today, Rosabella? Those new vitamin supplements I took must be working.

As Rosabella sat down, a priest began the announcements ... with sorrow "I am sad to inform that one of our long-timers, Miss Rosabella Smith died peacefully last night during her sleep. Cemetery arrangements are to be announced later today.

My Sanctuary with images

This week the Weekend Challenge from partner GC and me is Sanctuary.

SANCTUARY

My Sanctuary, without thinking more than one second is my Faith. If only I could explain, but there are no words on earth to interpret. Therefore, I usually try to play down my feelings since I can’t clarify them.
I will therefore post a few images for the readers here and pray God will pass on to you what I know to be true.

Today I am for some reason inspired to post these images.

I realize many beliefs do not allow the suffering Christ on their cross, but Traditional Catholics strongly believe you can not have the resurrection without first the suffering!

Personal Miracle Story
August 27, 2020
Myrna Migala

Series of why I believe in God.

The story you are about to read now written without exaggeration. For a believer, not a good idea to lie or stretch the truth; it would be equivalent to hammering the nails in the hands of Jesus. I mention this since I hope the following story will always be believed since our family miracle story is one reason I believe in God.

Years ago, my daughter, with her husband, was told they would not conceive, disappointed as they were, they chose to adopt. A miracle itself, it is challenging to adopt babies. However, they successfully adopted not one but two babies, years apart. (Not twins)

When the second child a boy, I will call Denis. Denis was healthy and loving, but after three years, we lost him. He passed away quite suddenly. (Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever) The couple is devastated and confused as to why God allowed this to happen, why take our child?
The sadness that followed, there are no words to describe it. My daughter grieving, asked me who she could pray to intercede for her to God. All she wanted was consolation! A reason to go on living!
I told her to pray to St. Therese of the Child Jesus because her parents lost all their male children, and St. Therese promised that she would help those still living when in her eternity. Her feast day on the Traditional Catholic calendar is Oct. 3. (Vatican II council while adapting to the world changed much of the Traditions one was the removal of some Saints, changes to the calendar of saints sometime in the ’60s.) BTW, Catholics do not worship the Saints; rather, we look to them as an example of their life. We are not praying to the dead; Catholics believe Saints are alive living their eternity.

Trying to brief this long story into a shorter version, I continue.

The family prayed a novena for a consolation to St. Therese. Shortly after that, the Vatican II religion allowed her relics; relics of St. Therese carried throughout the world in 2000, for veneration. My daughter read in the news that these holy relics were coming to a nearby Church. While there, they pressed their loved one’s picture to the relic and asked only for help to get on with their life.

Now the miracle!

Ten months later, my daughter gave birth to a boy, and to add to the joy; his birthday is on the feast day of St.Therese, Oct.3. Oct.3 on the Tradition Catholic calendar. God in heaven loves the number three. Therefore He graced her with two other children totaling three.

No one will ever take the place of our Saint-Denis, who also has answered many prayers for us. He was only three, but it is a pious belief to imagine the souls who reside in heaven are at the prime age of 33, the period Jesus Christ died for the world.

Do Pigs Fly — 99 word short story

Here we are again, time to visit Carrot Ranch, I am beginning to feel at home there!

The challenge — Well come and see, what can YOU write with only 99 words. Please see what I wrote!

The day! An excellent turnout if Miss Suzi Qque had anything to do with arrangements. Everything flawless, decorations to the menu.

These ten women had something to celebrate! What was it? A party to rejoice after they worked hard to lose 50 lbs.

The mascot chosen for laughs and keep them on their guard. A pig!

Pigs were the center of the decor; a tasty treat to nibble on was pigs in a blanket, a dish consisting of sausages wrapped in pancakes.

These women also had a catchy slogan, “Do we miss those 50 pounds? Do pigs fly?” NO!

The Good News—A COVID-19 Update

Yeah! READ THE GOOD NEWS ABOUT COVID! At Last!

Nwo Report

Source: Thomas T. Siler, M.D.

Now that we have had 18 months to “slow the spread” it is time to take stock of the pandemic. We have learned many good things that the media and our pandemic managers rarely report. Most fundamentally, we do not need to be afraid of COVID-19 anymore. The media and some government health authorities are still pushing hysteria and fear, but that should not prevail. Let’s look at the good news that can calm our fears about COVID-19. There’ll be time at a later date to look at the bad and the ugly of the resolving pandemic.

1) Globally, the survival rate for COVID-19 is 99.8%. Under the age of 70, the survival rate for COVID-19 is 99.97%. This is on par with many influenza seasons. Americans younger than 70 do not have to fear COVID-19 any more than influenza and we know how to…

Fully Vaccinated Woman Dies of Covid after Taking Carnival Cruise to Belize – 27 People Total Tested Positive For Covid Aboard Ship – ALL VACCINATED

OOOPS!
OOPS!

Nwo Report

Source:Cristina Laila

A beloved great grandmother tragically died of Covid after taking a Carnival cruise to Belize earlier this month.

77-year-old Marilyn Tackett, a retired Sunday school teacher from Oklahoma, boarded a Carnival cruise ship on July 31 out of Galveston, Texas.

On August 4th, Tackett, who was fully vaccinated for Covid, began to have breathing problems and decided to stay on the ship as her family disembarked and toured Belize.

The ship’s medical team tested Tackett for Covid and it came back positive.

The cruise’s medical doctor said Tackett needed to be put on a ventilator and had her transferred to a local hospital in Belize.

The family raised money through GoFundMe to pay for the $5,000 demanded by the hospital in Belize.

Tackett was ultimately flown to a hospital in Oklahoma where she passed away on August 14.

“We just wanted to get on here and Thank…

Ode to the Sandman

Carrot Ranch always has an interesting prompt and I almost missed this one. Details In 99 words (no more, no less), write a story using the phrase, “stars in the sand.” Your story can be any genre (or poem) and can use realism or fantasy. It’s a dreamy prompt. Go where the it leads!

99 Word STORY begins on

*******************

One day in the home of a happy family, the tiny little boy asked his mommy! "Where was I before I was born?"

"Oh dear, you were the twinkle in daddy's eye."

"Like stars?"

"Yes! Like stars."

"Wow!" He kept saying as he excitedly ran to tell all his friends.
After a few days had gone by, he woke up rubbing his eyes on one fine sunny morning and noticed some sleepy particles on his fingers.

"Mommy, mommy, look and see the sandman came last night to visit me.
"I do hope he put some stars in the sand."

Global Research has no clue

Fantango FSS short story sentence is: He could feel the beads of perspiration forming on his forehead as he slowly…

My short story, when I read my email today, this suggested line from Fantango seemed to fit right into my personal feelings, I too wonder WHY?

Story begins on just another day in the world we live in today! To set the frame of mind I wonder why is it of all people, the liberals were always the ones who seemed self-willed, Liberal can be traced back to the Latin word liber (meaning “free”) (no one was going to tell them what to do, nor does anyone have the right to tell others how to live.)

This particular freethinker one afternoon while reading his favorites source of research, He could feel the beads of perspiration forming on his forehead as he slowly… continued to read the fearful headlines, “The Vaccinated Are Getting Sick at High Rates as Scientists Are Clueless As to Why”. For the first time in his life, he began to pray! He began to feel better after her prayed, surely God will show mercy on his loved ones, of which he was mostly concerned with.

He was correct with his thinking, God will hear and answer his prayers. Perhaps this research is merely a coincidence, he hoped as he put the Global Research aside. It was just his Kakorrhaphiophobia getting the best of him, he thought!
