The stairway to Heaven

Life first, we begin; begin the climb! Upward sometimes; we fall as Christ fell three times as He rose to His destination the Cross. We also have a destination, but first, we must climb those worn steps covered with roses with thorns, sad times, and tearful times. He gives us an example; He is the only person born to die, as we are born to live and live again forever if we follow Him.

Now WHAT DO YOU SEE from the photo above.

Share answers to Stimulating questions

Just in case you are unsure of today’s date it is March 28 time to Share your World!

Presenting question number one here below:

Number 1. What fictional family would you like to be part of? (think TV shows, cartoon or books or some fictional family that you admire)

I loved the family that God placed me into, so this question is difficult to answer since I never thought about it. Let’s see! Thinking … thinking, hmmm! Perhaps and I quote “The Addams Family” had more of an edge, and its humor was a bit darker. They were fashionably weird but devoted to having a safe and happy home. The show also gave us some of TV’s most odd but memorable characters in Lurch, Cousin Itt and Uncle Fester.

I wonder what my name would have been? Thanks for giving me something different to think about.

Which band or artist would you like to play at your funeral or memorial service? (the artist can have passed on too)

If we don’t all get blown up with a nuclear bomb and I am lucky enough to have a funeral, it will hopefully be a Traditional Catholic one, with sacred music.

Preference. Popcorn, M&Ms or other. Choose something you love snacking on.

At this moment in time, I am on a kick for chocolate-covered raisins; who knows what it will be tomorrow.

If you could be any supernatural (fantasy) character, what would you be? (Think Elves, fairies, dragons or whatever)

Perhaps I would say:  Flutterina who is a member of the Great Rebellion and is aided by powerful butterfly wings.

Good advice with this quote: “Right is right even if no one is doing it; wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it.” -St Augustine.

Lucky Dip, Weekly Prompt

Brain Exercise, challenge, I dare you!

This one is what I call a real challenge if ever there was one!

At least for me, it challenged my brain, what an exercise!

Lucky Dip – Saturday Mix, 26 March 2022, has reached into the… mystery bag and pulled out a Palindrome!

What is a mirror, a reflection, RIGHT! That is what a Palindrome IS! If interested please go to this link for details.

My attempt is sort of a poem that mirrors, in other words forward and backward it means the same thing. When I say attempt, I mean it! Also don’t forget weeklyprompt.com the prompt is Mother the theme of my write below.

A mirror of
Mothers need
Love to care
For children; want mother.
Fulfillment required —
For happy families
Complete neverending!
Strong &  sturdy all day long;
She works and plays,
Never complains.
Her energy is love
Love is life!
Mother and wife she is.
Yes to both; is answer.

Answer is both — to yes!
Is she wife and mother?
Life is love.
Love is energy!
Complains never,
Plays and works;
Long day all sturdy & strong
Neverending — complete!
Families happy for
Required fulfillment!
Mother want children for
Care — to Love!
Need Mothers.

Ah! Another Challenge

These Dark Days

No Mercy?

God’s Mercy is infinite as our Mercy for our enemies should be, but are they? That is the question!

Showing Mercy to those who injured us is the greatest revenge; I do not know who said it, but it is true. Also, we have this —> “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.” ~Jesus Christ

Yet we want to forget there IS, like it or not, Divine Justice from God.

Beyond our last breath, we are taken to His Seat of Justice!

Yet, today we might face His Divine Justice here on earth, a chastisement foretold during the Great Apostasy from His Church. 2Thessalonians 2-3; One such commentary explained in the Haydock Bible as meaning; “According to a third and common exposition, by this revolt or apostasy, others understand a great falling off of great numbers from the Catholic Church and faith, in those nations where it was professed before; not but that, as St. Augustine expressly takes notice, the Church will remain always visible, and Catholic in its belief, till the end of the world. Could it be that Vatican 11 beyond 1960, when the Catholic Church adapted to the world, was this event? Visible, yes, but smaller as it began at its founding by Christ.

This is when everything started to change, (1960’s) the world, little by little lost all sense of sin; continues today with what was white is now black and what was BLACK IS NOW WHITE.

May God have Mercy on us during these very dark days.

Just Because

I started to paint again!

The world is a little crazy these days; perhaps God is near the end of His patience if that could be possible.

“Cast me not off in the time of old age: when my strength shall fail, do not thou forsake me.” Psalm 70-9

This past week I have had two great distractions, so I haven’t posted much. I ordered my own Haydock Bible, Douay Rheims, with commentary of Haydock. I purchased mine from Refuge of Sinners Publishing for $130.00 @ 812-967-2531, or you can get it from Amazon here Haydock Douay-Rheims Catholic Bible: Rev. George Haydock: 9781622920587: Amazon.com: Books

It is beautiful to have a commentary from the Early Fathers of the Church.

I am enjoying my time reading it!

Also, lately perhaps because of the situations with the world, looking at my religious pictures from the internet and books, I never noticed before. Still, recently I noticed that the images of Jesus and Mary are so serious and should be. Yet I desired to see at least the Mother of God smile at me; I searched and searched but could not find one. Some I found were almost a smile when she is pictured holding her Divine Son, Jesus.

I haven’t touched my watercolor paints in years, but I decided to paint a picture of her smiling at me, as you guessed. My paints were all dried up, and I had to soak them in water, find my brushes & paper, and find a frame; I prayed for help because of old shaky hands belonging to me! This project kept me out of trouble last week since I could think of nothing else.

Even with God’s help, I discovered this was the best I could do, but at least she is smiling at me!

She hangs near the entrance into my humble home; for all who enter, she smiles at them too!

I pity those who ignore her, for she magnifies her Son; they miss so much, perhaps in time. Luke 1-46 “And Mary said: My soul doth magnify the Lord.”

Breastplate of St. Patrick #FOTD

Words from Breastplate of St. Patrick.

Christ be with me; Christ be before me; Christ be after me; Christ within me; Christ beneath me; Christ above me; Christ at my right hand; Christ at my left hand; Christ in the fort; Christ in the chariot; Christ in the ship; Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me; Christ in the mouth of every man who speaks to me; Christ in every eye that sees me; Christ in every ear that hears ME.

Always Tomorrow inspired by #FSS

Don’t miss this chance to tell a story, check here for details.

At first, I thought it was only the dog making noise, but when I went to investigate, I saw that it was a raccoon who had come in from my doggy door. AIYEEEE! I screamed so loud the unwanted animal turned, and blasted his furry body the same staggering, jaw-dropping way he came into our warm and cozy home.
Tomorrow, I will have to take care of that doggy door.
The End

Not today — instead
Do it tomorrow not now
Way too tired; later

Stream of Conscience

What can I do anyway?

Presenting My Stream of Conscience

The news again, skip it! Yes, yes a war! Don’t want to hear it!

What can I do anyway, I know, I will sit down and pray, yet I do not want to get tripped up on distractions again. Just sit, relax and ask for the grace to pray well, don’t think about anything else, I hate distractions when talking to God, this time I will not trip up, I promise!

Fandango Flashback, FPQ

C.S. Lewis answers #FPQ Question

Prompts are always fun and inspiring, a challenge for sure, they make you think!

Two, not one of Fandango famous prompts are below:

Fandango’s flashback is always interesting and this one I posted a while ago; hopefully will make you smile if you read it to the end, that is! Here is the link —> Click

Now to his, Fandango Provocative Question from this week his blog; he asks! “Do you think, given everything that is going on in the world, that children born these days will have a worse or better life than their parents? Why do you feel that way?” I will attempt to answer this time through the words of C.S. Lewis and his famous quotes. Read together they result in good advice for all generations!

“Human history is the long terrible story of man trying to find something other than God which will make him happy.”—C.S. Lewis … “And out of that hopeless attempt has come nearly all that we call human history—money, poverty, ambition, war, prostitution, classes, empires, slavery—the long terrible story of man trying to find something other than God which will make him happy.”― C.S. Lewis

“If you look for truth, you may find comfort in the end; if you look for comfort you will not get either comfort or truth only soft soap and wishful thinking to begin, and in the end, despair.” ― C.S. Lewis … (because) “God can’t give us peace and happiness apart from Himself because there is no such thing.” ― C.S. Lewis

#WordPrompt… It’s Back

Word Press Prompt, this month it is the world BRIDGE; Yes WORLD!

Bridge, so many kinds of them, see here to get my point! Click to see how many

The purpose is to connect! So why are the governments doing everything possible to disconnect us?
The media is, in my opinion, the dominant spark at "full speed ahead" aimed at the sheeple. This quote by Winston Churchill makes the point. "A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on."

Life is a journey, and we all want to live in peace with happiness for our loved ones; we travel along, we arrive at a bridge; before we cross, be careful to know what is on the other end of the bridge. (The connection) These days do your research, don't blindly cross that bridge! And above all, pray! "My longing for truth was a single prayer." ~Edith Stein

As we begin to cross the bridge, it may seem gloomy, dark, and full of wonder; what will we find as we connect to the other side of life?
"We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark; the real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light." ~Plato

Prayer is light, don't do it alone, don't just follow along AND "Do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Let the day's own trouble be sufficient for the day." Jesus Christ

I Believe Because

Today March 8th IS —

March Eighth

According to Wikipedia, today is Woman’s Day!

The saddest part of today is that most women neglect the only woman who deserves to be remembered today and every day. Mary was so favored by God; she was overflowing, full of grace before her conception, He knew her. God’s Masterpiece, she was created with a particular role, to be the Mother of God.

God knew that we, His creatures loved by God, would need a Redeemer! For Our God who knows all, He the Creator of all understood that humans who were created in His image, in that we and we alone have an immortal soul, a beginning without an end. His Divine plan was to become a man with a human nature remaining Divine; through the power of the Holy Ghost and taking a human nature from Mary, His chosen mother. Through her free will, she raised the ideal of womanhood by her obedience and fortitude.

Christ loved His mother; her fiat pleased Him. What an example for us, yet today she remains ignored as Jesus was and still ignored by many who claim to follow Him. Many who think of themself as Christian refuse to imitate Christ as we are called to do, love His mother as He did.

Luke 1; 41 forward

41 And it came to pass, that when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the infant leaped in her womb: and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

42 And she cried out with a loud voice, and said: Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

44 For behold as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy.

45 And blessed art thou that hast believed, because those things shall be accomplished that were spoken to thee by the Lord.

46 And Mary said: My soul doth magnify the Lord:

So APROPOS and dVerse

I posted this some time ago on an OPEN LINK but it is so apropos even more so today, I dare post it again! If you think you saw it previously in the past, you did!

The time is now; that Grand Plan
Prep, don’t forget stock a drink
Juice, maybe freshly squeezed, — please!
Make sure your plan is at hand.

A rainstorm of fire will form
Wishing life — under the sea.
The dead, we will all envy.
God deliver us, our plea!

Attach to God or detached?
Winds roll us as tumbleweeds.
Where O’where rosary beads?
Never late, long as we breathe.

Tongue-tied fear viewing sunsets!
Green flashes for all to see.
When it’s over, sun to rise.
A world becomes very wise.

Now to know the Master’s sign.
Every knee bends at His name.
The world; a canvas so blank
We have God’s mercy to thank.

How do I know, the Bible tells me so!

The Book

The only BOOK worth being mentioned in would be The Book of Life, described in the Book of the Bible.
The Book of Life
No need for strife
Pray your name be written
Else God's Kingdom is forbidden!

How do I know? The good Book tells me so!
Apocalypse 20; 15 — "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the pool of fire."

"Some books leave us free, and some books make us free." ~Emerson
