Please Follow the Rules

Photo Prompt by RochelleWisoff Plus Only Six Sentence story

“Hey Buddy, how do we get up to that abandoned castle-like structure up there?”

“Not by driving on the sidewalk; follow the rules and; follow that path just beyond that next curve.”

“But that pathway takes you down, not up.”

They believe they are going up, surprise surprise, when they refuse to obey the rules. This is why it is called the pathway to Hell! It is the most straightforward way.”

A Stroke of Genius

One day in ordinary/uninspired times, I found myself walking along the sandy beach, thinking of the miserable conditions in the world today, and listening to the waves as the tide was coming in.

Suddenly, I had a STROKE of genius.

Why not pray to the Great, Almighty, Powerful God to bring all His enemies to naught; why not!. That would cause them (His enemies) to fail with the constant instilling of fear.

Please, oh Lord, be not our Judge but our Savior. We pray!

How do I know, the Bible tells me so!

The Book

The only BOOK worth being mentioned in would be The Book of Life, described in the Book of the Bible.

The Book of Life
No need for strife
Pray your name be written
Else God's Kingdom is forbidden!

How do I know? The good Book tells me so!
Apocalypse 20; 15 — "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the pool of fire."

Something to think about!

The question today is: “When and where do you do your best thinking? Why is that?”

Mundane

Speaking for myself, it seems I am always thinking, from the time I awaken, my first thoughts are of my dreams; I usually say, where did that come from? The next thought would be, thinking of what I want to accomplish today!
Blogging is an everyday, something to think about, activity. I read, and ideas appear; either the prompts inspire me, or they don’t. When inspired, I say to my friends living in heaven, “please inspire me to write well what you want me to tell.”
I love reading profound things that inspire; mundane reading posts do not inspire me; who cares what you had for breakfast!

Your Redemption is at Hand

GirlieOnTheEdge and Sunday’s prompt word reveal for Six Sentence Stories!

PROMPT WORD:  REDEMPTION

Reading this morning from one of my many meditation books, “What is worse than the crime of denial?”

These days, the world is in great distress; look at the various reports and read them ALL.
“But when these things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is at hand.” Luke 21:28

Adam forfeited his right to heaven; thereby, we are born into spiritual bankruptcy. From pure LOVE for us, Christ made the sacrifice of His blood and gave us back the right to heaven, but He gave us conditions to that right! Anyone can say “believe in the Lord God;” even the devil believes!

Very Short six sentence story

The prompt word is “SHELTER”

Just a simple story, I notice lately I enjoy writing poems, short stories, and photo prompts here is one short story for Girlie on the edge.

Waking and thinking about my day off, what should I do today? First, I need that cup of coffee! As she walked around the room, getting her thoughts together, waiting for that cup of coffee, she wondered if the world was still out there, turning on the news to a strange noise; din din din din din din … & words flashing across the screen.

B R E A K I N G N E W S….  A Voice … Everyone Shelter in Place.

What Now, she screamed as details from the news rung out, “a new variant just discovered.”

She went back to bed!

Simple a Six Sentence recipe

Today with the inspiration by 6sentence, the prompt being the word "juice." Next time you make jello, do this for delicious harmony!

Instead of the 2 cups of hot water and two cups of cold water, please change it to 2 cups of hot water as instructed, but only one cup of NOT WATER, but juice. For example, strawberry or any red jello use strawberry or any red juice; even apple juice mixed with any flavored jello is my favorite.

Instead of juice, you can even add a can of cola, coke to equal that one cup; YOUve HEARD OF CHERRY COKE, try cherry jello and cola. The trick is to use not 4 cups of water but only three to make the jello firmer =AND TASTIER!

I can, I can someday fly away!

If only I could fly like a bird; can you imagine, anticipate and picture rising, soaring through the air, going everywhere! I admit that sometimes I fly in my dreams; usually, when some evil is about to capture me, I fly away with a rapid, high-speed express flight, to be sure. But that is only in my dream. How to fly is truly something I wish I knew how to do.
Is it possible to learn? I fear not, like a bird, but perhaps someday as an angel, if I pray and depend on God enough.

Sixth Sense we all have it!

Six sentences have specified “charm,” prompting us to write relating to its allure.
Beware, and learn from my mistakes, the evil one can be most charming, and this charm is deceitful, part of his lure.
His bait to lure you into his camp, without you even realizing it. Many people are sincerely appealing; getting to know a person very well before you trust them entirely is my advice. Take it from an older person, your choice, PROMISE yourself to heed, observe, and above all pray.
Have faith and trust God, who has provided us with instinct, some call it a sixth sense, use it!

Sunday’s Six Sentence on Wednesday.

To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk.

~Chris Abani

It’s just funny that Americans have to contend with 2000 channels, and 60 different specific news sources, and the confusion that it creates, and the junk that we get to see is hilarious.

Impossible — NOT!

Today I begin again, looking at the challenges, stopping at the Six Sentence prompt encourging to write about the word GUIDE. When I see that word, I immediately think of the HOLY TRINITY!

*********************************

It is impossible to explain the Trinity in six sentences, nor with all the words in the dictionary because it can't be explained; it is FAITH!

Only ONE GOD, but Three Person, entirely in agreement, but each has a purpose. God the Father is the Creator, God the Son, the Redeemer, and the Holy Ghost is our GUIDE.

If you ask, the Holy Ghost He will definitely guide you to the Truth, not because I say so, but because God says so, "Ask and you shall receive."

Thinking about the mystery of the Trinity, speaking for myself, boggles my mind; however, the idea of not being able to rationalize this mystery keeps me humble; God loves the lowly and hates the proud.

I love a good mystery, and the mystery of the Trinity is worth thinking about because in heaven, we won't need FAITH; we will know!

INSIDE OUT … or! Outside In?

This challenge is wrought through the inspiration of the photograph below:

The photo above reminds me of someone who is wholeheartedly committed to bringing the outside inside.
Too much of a good thing can create a mess, as the picture proves.
Yet, a person, you or I, reserves the right to hide our inside by bringing out the outside.

We only see the outside of a person, but what is inside, God sees.

We as a person know what is inside of ourselves, supposing we don’t like what we see in ourselves, we at times turn ourselves inside out.
“Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” ~Carl Jung

Six Sentence Story — continued

Continued from previous post Titled: Better Late than Never!
Prompt word is FOUNTAIN — In case you missed it, click here

“I am Alpha and Omega; the beginning and the end. To him that thirsteth, I will give of the fountain of the water of life, freely.” Revelation 21:6
God puts it into our hearts to search for this fountain of the water of life; the Sacraments, there are seven. Seven days in the week, seven colors in the rainbow, and seven sacraments of the Church. Seven Fountains help us get through the pearly gates when we reach our goal. Are we lost if we don’t find them — the Church teaches only God can judge based on the opportunities He provided us to find HIS Fountains?

Better Late than Never!

Okay, I’ll try this Six Sentence Story challenge; a little late prompt, was initiated from Sunday October third — FOUNTAIN

The way I understand the rules, the following Wed. this story will continue! OH WoW THAT’S TODay!

************************************

Take the word “fountain.” The fountain has a lot of different meanings for different people; most definitions remind me of water (but not all) . When we are born, hopefully, our parents take us to the Fountain of Baptism which makes us a child of God.

Consider the “Fountain of youth with stories as we grow older, although fictional in nature, searching for YOUTH. You know finding the fountain, drinking the water, etc., depending on how much we drink, we go back to our youth; the journey backward is an adventure in itself.

In truth far better to search for that TRUE FOUNTAIN that takes you forward to your goal in life, onward we go!

Onward we go!

The prompt word on this challenge is EXPLORE!

***************

Not so long ago, during an era when family gatherings were not frowned upon, it so happened a happy celebration was in progress.

The story begins with a playful grandma wanting to explore her young grandson’s mind with conversation during a joyful party while enjoying sitting together near the table settings with fun things to munch on, lots of yummy fruits, and tasty treats.

Suddenly the nearby phone rings … r i n g -r i n g!

Grandma’s foolery outshined her as she grabbed the banana off the table, put it up to her ear, and said, “hello!”

“Hello, who is this speaking please?”

The confused grandson looked up at her with the most serious look on his face, whispered, “grandma, that is A banana!”
