dVerse, Inspires every time

An invitation to write that memory you can’t forget, it’s Thanksgiving Season After All!!

My Memory in Haibun Poetry OUCH! Graitful it wasn't worse!

Thinking back, remembering Thanksgiving Day as a child, I was always excited to see my cousins. One particular Aunt and Uncle had ten children. However, sad to say only seven lived past infancy. The best day was when we all got together, all seven, plus my brother and me. We were very wild and would run, play, jump; one Thanksgiving Day, I accidentally tripped while working up an appetite for the great Feast that was about to begin. I was running with all the gusto within me.
I did not like what I bit into that Thanksgiving Day; it was my tongue. Next came the brightly colored blood everywhere. Next, I remember being taken into the bathroom with several “big” people trying to stop the blood and tears.
Ahh! Memories! I know now that events end but memories last forever; I am living proof at 81 years old, I still wear the scar.

Best bite ever, not!
Impossible to forget
Holidays are here

A Haibun of Perpetual Flowers with Haiku

A Halo!

A Favorite white rose, living now, a flower!
Combine that thought with mystery of today; hidden, a secret of the rosary! The Coronation!
Imagine the Mother of God forever crowned as Queen; no! Not ...
a crown made with yellow gold; we call precious metal. Think —a sweet fragrance saturating the air with several white vivid roses all aglow and strung together in the form of a crown — a crown of perpetual flowers that will never die.

Glory of a rose
Enduring everlasting
A Crown for our Queen
God’s Masterpiece

Too, too Tired! A Haibun with Haiku

Just to create conditions that something did happen a long time ago. A memory to awaken according to dVerse at … click here for more information, CLICK!

Going back in time is something expected as one age. This memory always comes to mind when I do this exercise, and I have often recalled it.
I could barely walk; therefore, I must have been about 24 months.
Knowing I couldn’t have been more than three. I remember walking outside with my mother and her lady-friend. I remember sitting down on the sidewalk and sitting there, sitting there.
My mother refused to pick me up; she kept coaching me to get up. After a few moments went by, but it seemed to me at that time a very long time. She started to walk ahead with her lady friend, leaving me to sit there.
Now that I am grown, I imagine she said something like this, “okay, just sit there, but I am going home.” The picture in my memory is; it seems as if she is far, far away; I am frightened — she left me!
I would not get up to run to her since she seemed an eternity away.
I can still see how tiny both she and her lady-friend were because they were so far away in my mind’s eyes.
In reality, they were only about 50 feet from me, and I know this because my mother would have never left me!

Stubborn baby girl
Take my hand — up little one
Too tired, mama dear!

America the Eagle

dVerse

“And there were given to the woman two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the desert unto her place, where she is nourished for a time and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.” (Apocalypse 12:14) This prophecy fits the Church, which brings forth Christ into the world. The age we are living in today is again as predicted in — II Thessalonians 2:3 as the great falling away. Since the mid 60’s the Catholic Church has been dumbed down. The Vatican at present has an Anti-Christ . Yet, the Church is flourishing in small pockets worldwide, but especially here in America, the Eagle!
America like Christ appears dead, will rise again!
To continue to nourish the Church while waiting His Second Coming.

After many years of seeking, praying and searching I finally found my way home in the Traditional Catholic Church, the difference is night and day.

U.S. the Eagle
Eagles strongest birds of prey
America tough

dVerse IS BACK!

For dVerse where we are asked to write a Haibun about a new beginning a first!

Writing not one but four, and this will be my fifth post today, that is a first for me.

Another new beginning I recently experience was moving from my large three bedrooms, three-story home into my converted basement into what I call my cozy cave. (bottom story)

Why the move? Its been eight years since my beloved husband passed, and my six children have long left the nest. My life is in the state of the reverse; in other words, the children I cared for will now care for me.

Now that the packing and sorting out “stuff” is over, finding places for my keepsakes here in my cozy cave was challenging but fun.

I bet you wonder who is living upstairs? Two doggies, one cat, two lovely children (girls), and their mother, my daughter.

Alone, no! Not I
Noise yes!—Quietly! Snowfalls
Float toward the goal

Moonshine … anyone?

dVerse says …

Let’s get a little luny

Mother Nature about to deliver — TODAY!
Labor pangs travail wind howling in pain!
Mother Earth speaks through the long nights.
Bringing forth recovered life, never aborted.
Life continues to shift, and leaves fall, rain dances.
Cold disturbs the heat, but look at the moon!
The moon so polished, large, and gleaming, we wonder!
From here to eternity, it shimmers, from my house to yours.

One more gift from God
That glow; it never burns out
Vigilant night eye!

In Defense of Christianity

Again we are challenged with Paint Chips as pictured here

When it comes to The Faith, I want the whole enchilada because Jesus founded One Church, and one of those things is not like the other. A brick building with the word Church does not mean it is THEE Church. Christ’s teaching is not as a lipstick fluctuating with vast changes of shades and colors. As you learned back in the day, the marks of the Church are One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic. The Church is not like a Sand Dollar crawling on the bottom; instead, it is a coral reef, anchored, and anchored in Truth. Truth is our nectar in life; the sweet taste of Truth is quite peachy for lack of a better word and the only word left in this challenge of words, known as Paint Chips.

When I was little, I had a potpourri of Old Leather boots, past on to me by my big sister. As time went on, her euphoria was all about the color yellow! As in a Turmeric flower, bright yellow pennies, even the bright yellow of the Lazy Lizard.
How silly she is, me, I’ll stick with my dreams of Sea Serpents and Mermaids.

Take the Challenge, I Did!

I love this challenge, and for some strange reason today I wanted to write about myself, a confession.

Prompt words from Paint Chip resulted in the Haibun with Haiku

Somehow I was inspired to compose about my journey of Faith!
Most think the Church has changed with the recent Modern Popes, but in truth, it didn’t change at all, it just became smaller. Luke 18:8
“I say to you that he will quickly revenge them. But yet the Son of man, when he cometh, shall he find, think you, Faith on earth?”

↓ My LONG LOST Faith ↓

After a few moments, asking for inspiration, a BRIGHT IDEA was wrought.
Faith was lost in the past, and like a HERMIT CRAB, I was living in a shell.
Slowly in the early ’70s, I found myself growing warmer to hot like the TROPICS. Realizing if there was a God, my choices were not His.

Something was amiss! I desired the sweet flesh of the Blessed Sacrament, but instead, it was only bread. The Catholic Church changed, I thought! I began to pray.
I yearned to be cleansed; where was this fountain where the Water Lily/LOTUS waited for me? Somewhere I knew for His promise was forever. Seek, and you shall find, like BABY’S BREATH, a beginning again; I found the POMEGRANATE, the Sweet Flesh, red Blood of He who died for me many seeds for all to see, the Church still existed. Like a PEACOCK with its many eyes, God does see our deeds, He cares!

About Tradition
Gates of Hell will not prevail.
Seek, and you shall find!

Opposites do Attract

OPPOSITES ATTRACT This challenge is all about “opposing forces” and the use of antithesis in our writing. Our words this week are:

– ascend and descend

– hope and despair

My post in the form of a Haibun with Haiku

God indeed works in mysterious ways. Take life as an example. There are those people who are their best when they are at their lowest; in other words, they seem to sink or descend to the lowest point before rising to ascend to great heights. That is the way of life, and even God Himself fell three times when He carried His Cross before He rose. He never despaired, but hoped for our salvation.

All called to follow

Up down, to and fro we go

Heaven is our goal

Paint Chip Poetry, a Haibun of Inspiration

Poetry?  Perhaps a Haibun with Haiku!

What inspires? Listen carefully as the song, America the Beautiful, inspired by purple mountain majesties. Our imagination, too, is kindling for a vision. Pray for a monsoon of grace, an epiphany, imagine drinking hot cocoa while pondering the unknown. So much still to discover, as Adam and Eve found the fig leaf, you to can find. Something is there waiting for you so away with the fake rubber ducky, away with the cheese puffs, say hello to wine and sweet dessert, time to explore your mind, and unearth your hidden talent.

Good-bye to ducky
Discover wine and dining
Dig up your talent

Believers or not

Invisible —Believe it or not!

The Mass of All Times, in one way, is imperceptible “time-traveling.”
Too subtle to even perceive, one might describe it as invisible. Unlike the service known today in your neighboorhood, Catholic Church as the Novus Ordo to distinguish in order to publish the new service by  Paul VI in 1969.

I speak here of the attributes of the traditional Latin Mass only.

Invisible in the sense that we are here and we are also there. Our invisible soul is going back, back through time all the way to a day which Christ crucified on the Cross and purchased the human race — redeemed us!
When we kneel there contained within our physical bodies during the consecration of the bread and wine, time is as if suspended, postponed.

Having an unbroken history from the present day to the distant past, it also establishes an inspiring covenant of unity across the world everywhere.

The sacred language used is as a Pentecost again commemorating the descent of the Holy Ghost upon the apostles. The traditional Latin Mass not only provides universality for all people of all times, till the end of time.
But, within the Mass, Christ perpetuates Himself in the world; likewise, through the Mass, the world can gain perpetual life in Christ.

With all their power
Poorly fail to end His Mass
Seek, and you shall find

Is Nothing, Something?

Best way to get attention, in my opinion, is to ask for advice or ask a question like the title of this post today!  Daily Inkling wants to know.

*******

We find SOLITUDE when we dream, we write, compose and discover our sub-conscience.

Remembering, recollection, hindsight of a dream while traveling through
space and time. My trip began early one morning while still dark, dozed off on my coach and experienced a rare dream; rare because it was one that I remembered every detail upon returning.

While in my fantasy state, trying to explain how God always was and how did He become God anyway; boggled with that thought. I began to imagine if there never was a God there would be NOTHING! That was when the question entered, begging for an answer, only an atheist can answer. Is nothing, something?

Fantasy and back
Question without an answer
Only through our dreams

Mother most amiable; just one of the salutations of Mary, the Mother of God; explained within the Litany of Loreto.
The Bible gathers our understanding contained within the pages of Luke chapter 1; her soul magnifies the Lord, the more we honor her, the more we will be embellished with grace to love her Son, Jesus Christ. She is, after all, God’s gracious Masterpiece of creation because she was created to be A LIVING TABERNACLE, His shelter for nine months. Nothing dishonored can be The Vessel that carries God. EVER!

Tradition + Haibun Poetry just for YOU!

My Haibun for dVerse

Once Upon Tradition, we discovered that Truth and Humility are very similar in the fact that humility, among other definitions, is acceptance of Truth. Without humility, we cannot win heaven. Because If humility is missing, PRIDE is present.
Just think, it is very straightforward! God can only create goodness, and the angels when created were untainted. However tradition explains, God who knows all things, foretold to His angels that He would also create a nature with a lower essence than His angels. God continued to educate the angels of His plan, but many of them objected to giving one particular woman her proper place. “I will not serve.” The idea that a mere woman would be so privileged, blessed and recognized as to carry God within her human body.

Luke chapter 1; verse 48 “All generations shall call me BLESSED.”

At that moment in time Pride was born into existence, many angels fell.
Pride originated; deception appeared. The fallen then showing Adam and Eve how pleasant Pride looks, Eve accepted the bait while exercising free will thus; giving a new twist on that phrase, “The right to choose.”

Freewill — right to choose
angels, devils, good, evil
humility, pride

dVerse desires CHANGE today!

Learning someone in your circle has that dreaded “C” word, it seems like an eternity until you know all the details; fear and waiting patiently. The day has come when we realize what love is. Our special person and life isn’t a life without them. A change is about to take place surreal as in numbing. We begin to bargain with God; if I change dear God, will you then answer my plea? Whatever can I do, oh God, to change your mind?
This can’t be happening, not now, not today; not ever!

We all know the day
might come — letting go— endure
resign to His Will
