What If !!!

The word today from the famous Fandango is PERFUNCTORY!

Fight with delight, fight the fight, these statues the “peaceful” unthinking, perfunctory protestors are tearing down, have had enough.  BEWARE!

You will have to agree, I feel, these images below are certainly perfunctory, glib, or at least artful, depending on how you look at things.

Who is Truly Culpable?

For Fandango my attempt at a limerick

Once upon a time lived only Adam plus Eve
They lived happily neverending they perceived.
Meandering, a long, slimy slithering snake
I feel someone is about to make a mistake!
From that day on, the world seeks to find a reprieve.

Looking everywhere trying odds and ends
We all do hope someday to make amends.
While time marches; listen hear the tock-tick
Solution is within; this limerick!
Try this! What do you do on your weekend?

Ah! Another Challenge, Word of the Day Challenge

A Jibberjabber post about doubt

I DOUBT

I doubt that I could fly, although in my dreams I can.
I doubt I will live to be 100 — at least I hope I don’t!
I doubt I will ever win a poetry contest, but I love writing them!

Thinking about what I know for sure, hmmm!
Time continues to march on with or without me,
and the sun will rise each day … or will it?scratch

My First Political Limerick

Fandango does it again, the perfect prompt for my LIMERICK!

Coming Soon May 12!

Observed annually on May 12, National Limerick Day celebrates the birthday of English artist, illustrator, author and poet Edward Lear (May 12, 1812 – Jan. 29, 1888). Lear is known mostly for his literary nonsense in poetry, prose, and limericks.
Anyway, rules to remember besides being silly are, it’s five lines long
The first two lines rhyme with each other and with the fifth line
The third and fourth lines also rhyme
Limericks are also supposed to have a certain rhythm.

There was once an election!
And LEFT had their selection,
Surprise, anyway!
Which wrought the hearsay.
The upshot — insurrection!

(A Limerick)  It’s supposed to be nonsense, ANYWAY like the politics and media of today!
