A Poem about Poetry—Haibun, Haiku

Below composed please find Haibun with Haiku about Poetry in general, “A Poem about Poetry.”

Inspired by the ever-popular Colleen Chesbro.  Linking to dVerse Open Link Night.

Like snowflakes
similar but not alike
a sea of countless forms —
poetry is the topic of discussion.

Cinquain to – Sonnet, Shadorma to Senryu
forget not the Etheree or Tanka —
Haibun, Haiga, and Haiku to Limerick.
Oops! What about nine lines of the Nonet.

Hopping! Now to rhyming — certain selected, yet,
the fun begins with creating the rhythms.
Syllable counting, meters, beats, and patterns.
Oh my!

Imagination
Let go, turn the key to on
Animate within

The Devil Dances

Lately, the mainstream news is overwhelmingly blaring; “he said this and she said that” a seesaw of ups and downs.
Yet, I was again inspired to post due to the constant abuse of continued nothings.

Compose this SHADORMA. A form of poetry composed of six lines, no rhyme and 26 syllables total. My post here is an acceptance of Colleen Chesebro Challenge Tanka Poetry; her challenge is to use the synonyms for the words “Hobby and Play” look for the synonym underlined.

Also, Shadorma poetry is a syllabic poem with a meter of 3/5/3/3/7/5.

Hall of Shame
Mainstream ruse — passion
Pursuance
Not of Truth
Still, flirt with conspiracy
The devil dances!

When is a Troll not a MONSTER …?

Sing sing a troll
Round and round we go                                     ♫ Trolling Down the River
Now don’t be shy
Raise that voice
As we troll along —
We await our turn
Humming our style
Now Reach up
Grap those vibes
Before they run away
Musical notes swaying
Our day away

Something to Cheer You for dVerse

The word for the quadrille today is “troll” or any variation or arrangement of it somehow in a poem.

Frank Hubeny says the hard part of a quadrille is that it must have exactly 44 words (excluding title). Some people find 99-word stories difficult. A quadrille permits less than half that many words.

Little bits of life
Surge forward awaken from
That cold Winter sleep

All shoutout the beauty wrought

Supernatural Reality

Saturday Mix of the Natural/Supernatural

The shadow of the moon danced on the lake.

Morphing of the shadow as the light of the moon penetrated through branches; the reaching arms gracefully unveiling its ballet to a full moon.
A moon suspended high beyond its genius of design, a living greeting card.

The priest that morning at the sacrifice of the Mass, held the host high above his head, again a change; the bread of earth-penetrating God’s enlightenment is unveiling bread from heaven.

Natural meeting
Of the Supernatural
Morphing night and day

Found Poetry of why Catholics Honor Mary

Learning something as I go along — i.e. what is “found poetry?”

Plus an added bonus in that dVerse wants poetry regarding Privileges.

Reading here on WordPress from other knowledgeable bloggers aroused my interest.  I did what any other person does these days, search google.

Wanting to try it, I decided to go for the Bible and see what poetry I could find.  After researching “found poetry” and the rules, there were none — changing, switching words, cutting, pasting adding or subtracting anything is permitted as part of the creativeness.

However

I was at a disadvantage searching the Bible because, well you know the Bible is the Word of God; therefore having to be careful not to change the context was a must.

Taken from the Book of Luke; Chapter 1

Title of my “found” poem

The PRIVILEGE of Mary

(verse 26)    Angel Gabriel
(29)               His word
(30)               Hast found grace
(35)               Power of the Most High
(38)               The angel departed
(42)               Blessed art thou among women
(46)               Mary said
(48)               All generations shall call me BLESSED

With the exception of seeking into the Bible for God’s Words.

Otherwise the art of FOUND POETRY, in my opinion, the art is in the montaging of words.

My first attempt for dVerse at Rubaiyat which is a  form of poetry.

Titled: Time; Your Gift

Our sashaying through viability
Little thought of essence, humility
Yet, pride leads the way to an illusion
Self-fulfilling to disability.

Near the end, its all about confusion
Wrought from competence to our delusion.
We cry out with great regret — life, time, gone!
Truth = what IS! God always the solution!
