How to be Happy, Healthy and Holy

Life, what is our purpose of being here? In today’s world, unfortunately, it means doing whatever we want.

If we are honest with ourselves and examine our conscience, we will admit the above idea does not bring us happiness, only unhappiness.
We are merely as the saying goes, “Barking up the wrong tree” or not looking in the right direction for peace of soul and happiness.
Humanity, for all times, is given Ten Commandments to follow: the influence of this world say they are only suggestions.

How is putting the Ten Commandments on the back burner working out for you? Do you know the

“Not doing well today, “Take a pill.” There are pills today for everything under the sun. Medicines to help your state of mind, pills to keep you awake or fall asleep. Some tablets help you lose weight, or cope as struggling through the day Etc. Etc.  Indeed!  Medicines are gifts of God, not to be abused or replaced with truth.  Ask and you shall find!  Remember in the end God gives us our desires as we lived them.

Could it POSSIBLY be that WE are BARKING UP THE WRONG TREE?  Realizing I have been there done that!

INSPIRATION FROM THE Sunday Writing Prompt —

Accepting their challenge from this quote from Atticus;  –> “We just want the world to love the little monster that we are.”  Atticus a pseudonym for an anonymous poet, writer, and artist.

The prompt reminds me of another quote from the Bible:  The above quote from Attius to this quote below is my post today, Sunday, December 22, 2019.

Adulterers, know you not that the friendship of this world is the enemy of God?  Whosoever, therefore, will be a friend of this world, becometh an enemy of God.

James 4:4

Ah! Another Challenge, Share your World

Who, Me!

Share your World wants to know; and who doesn’t like to write about oneself every once in a while.

Five questions you can read here:

My answers below:

Didn’t have to think too long on this first question. Honestly can’t remember when I might have been offended personally. I say personally directed at me, myself and I. Having said that I do get annoyed when someone disparages what I believe to be sacred and holy unless they are asking an honest question, all coming down to their motive and comebacks.

It is often said that the morals of society will shape the government. Therefore I mean, the morals must be VERY IMPORTANT! Currently, our culture and its morals are headed for a nosedive. Taking the government with it no matter who the President is. I suppose God, as He always has in the past,  will take us back to the essential Ten Commandments; back to basics sooner or later.

My epitaph might be something like this: Wife, Mother, Grandmother who made her share of mistakes in life; in the end, finally understood why it took a lifetime to figure out her purpose in life.

French toast, pancakes or waffles? All sounds good to me, but am leaning toward the pancakes, Swedish pancakes, thin and sweet are my favorite.

Each day when I awake, I am always grateful for my faith in God, my family that keeps growing and growing each year with grandchildren and now great-grandchildren connecting to the chain.

Grateful too, I haven’t had to use the new editor here on WordPress YET, I hate figuring out all over again new Internet “stuff.”

As the World CHURNS

The world is a container in which we humans are churned, stirred and shaken to make us meaningful in the eyes of God Almighty. We are here to learn the Will of God and are churned at times because of the consequences of our own choices.

Life is a struggle!
Thomas a Kempis says this:

“Without struggle, you cannot obtain the crown of patience, and if you refuse to suffer you are refusing the crown, But if you desire to be crowned, fight manfully and bear up patiently. Without labor, there is no rest, and without fighting, no victory.”
You may ask, and Thomas’ voice continues: “How is it possible to love a life that has such great bitterness, that is subject to so many calamities and miseries? Indeed, how can it even be called life when it begets so many deaths and plagues? And yet, it is loved, and many seek their delight in it.
Many persons often blame the world for being false and vain, yet do not readily give it up because of the desires of the flesh have such great power. Some things draw them to love the world; others make them despise it. The lust of the flesh, the desire of the eyes, and the pride of life lead to love, while the pains and miseries, which are the just consequences of those things, beget hatred and weariness of the world.
Vicious pleasure overcomes the soul that is given to the world. She thinks that there are delights beneath these thorns because she has never seen or tasted the sweetness of God or the inner joy of virtue. They, on the other hand, those who entirely despise the world and seek to live for God under the rule of holy discipline, are not ignorant of the divine sweetness promised to those who genuinely renounce the world. They see clearly how gravely the world errs, and how many ways it deceives.” (STIRRING)
