Linda today with her SoCS
Your ‘Same Same But Different’ task is to take the five challenge words and NOT use them in your writing. That’s right; you need to dig out your thesaurus and find a synonym for each word instead.
Your words are:
- For the word “see” I used the synonym notice
- For “blue” I used the synonym moody
- “soft” synonym foolish
- “kind” = style
- “weak” = quiet
Your writing form is either poetry or prose.
I wonder how and have you noticed?
The different personalities; we all have our own style!
Some of us are moody others foolish!
I better be quiet before I give myself away!
Just in case you haven’t tried this challenge, join here!
Put on your thinking cap and create; using the paint chips above, it’s fun!
A slow-moving black widow spider,
Seen in my coffee can — that day!
I will never forget;
I even spilled my lemonade.
Yet today is a new day,
A sunny-side-up day.
A gentle zephyr like wind seen
Moving clouds as they form
Starships in the sky!
Not your day, just wait!
Tomorrow’s future remade.
Life so exciting!
Take out your paintbrush, oops I mean keyboard time to create from, you guessed it, PAINT CHIPS.
From Best to Worst, as the world goes.
If I had a wishbone, wishing for a world filled with the wisdom of the beginning as an heirloom tomato antique in nature!
Enough! Picking politicians from the deep end! Their empty laugh, a voice covered with a greenish patina, always depicting a green with envy gaze.
They go up and down in an organized swim, a lap swim, no wonder they are all wet. Back and forth as fireflies!
As empty ways fade
Replaced by blooms of flowers
Truth! Sweeten the air!
I see with my mind’s eyes, God-given rights threatened!
History is changing from what was to now dismay. War, we are in it!
Peace jeopardized! Why?
Anti-Christ is here, and the stage is being set.
These actions are plain “goofy” and are meant to destroy America.
Don’t believe me? Watch and pray; don’t waver back and forth!
They, those who envy peace and prosperity, are your enemy!
Is this what you want for your children?
The Wordle of WORDS are:
My post today turned out to be a “Happy Accident” since it begins with the prompt word and ends with the prompt word, something that happened quite by accident. Thanks, FOWC for the word.
Semantics or meanings of words can be exciting these days, mainly when one listens to the media; i.e. take the word “fact.”
A fact should be stubborn. Stubborn because a “Fact” is checked, tested and proven, or it wouldn’t be a FACT. However these days in politics, facts become noise as in echos — fantasies for others, as in fiction! Furthermore through the power of semantics, “facts” the word; in the mind of the obstinate soon become conspiracies.
Perhaps the problem with politics these days; is simply the nomenclature! The “genius” of those who continue adding diversity to definitions not to develop them but to change the language for their agenda.
The never-ending doings of semantics.
– the formation of a word from a sound associated with what is named (e.g. cuckoo, sizzle ).
– the use of onomatopoeia for literary effect.
So the prompt today is all about the sound that expresses the meaning of the word.
Ah, ah Choooo!
God bless you!
What if I don’t believe in God?
Gibberish, Jibberish, and gobbledygook!
This poem of mine
tic-toc poet took its time
Not chance, did it rhyme.
Favorite word challenge! Had to think on this one since I never gave it serious thought. Words are attractive to any of us who are interested in writing. Words whether it be poems or prose.
The word that I always felt was interesting was a description of a neighbor I had many many years ago. From day one after this family moved into the community they struck me as being … PERSNICKETY! That is an excellent word in my opinion because if you don’t know the meaning, the word itself explains the meaning.
Ending on a religious note which is the theme of my blog, I am reminded again of a different person, other than the person described above; I was acquainted with who told me how he felt about himself; that his life was so sinful, he honestly believed that God could never forgive him.
What he was saying, not with words but his belief; his sins were more significant than the Mercy of God and that God was PERSNICKETY!
If any reader here feels that way, please read my previous post for June titled “Hello the Month June.”
